30 hours Government FundingWho does this apply to?For 3 to 4 year old children where some families are entitled to an additional 15 hours of Government funding i.e. up to 30 hours in total.
Where both parents are working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family), and each parent earns no more than £100,000 per year or no less than £120 a week (if aged over 25) or no less than £112.80 (if aged between 21 and 24). A parent will expect (on average) to earn this amount over the coming three months. The eligibility criteria have been designed to accommodate parents with fluctuating incomes and those who are about to start working or increase their hours. For example, a parent who is on a zero-hours contract will get work some weeks, but not others, and may not know in advance if they will have work in any given week. If, on average they work two weeks out of every three, and when they are working they get 25 hours of work at the minimum wage, their child will qualify for 30 hours of free childcare. Families where one parent does not work (or neither parent works) will not usually be eligible for the extended entitlement EXCEPT where:

For 30 hours Government Funded spaces for 3-4 year olds you will need to commit to specific block periods of weeks and specific hours per session as well as completing all appropriate forms and paperwork with signatures and providing evidence of your child's age with their original birth certificate or an official copy (not photocopy), in a timely manner to enable the funding, otherwise full fees are applicable.
Note: these requirements are normally requiring your fulfilment on your child's first day for each "block" period.

- Parents require an eligibility code from HMRC which must be communicated to us in writing in advance of the "block" in which they are attending (typically 1-2 months prior to the start of each "block"). "Blocks" usually start in September, January and April. For more information on dates please refer to the Term Dates for each kindergarten.
- Parents must commit to specific funding block periods of weeks (as defined by the Local Authority)
- Parents must commit to the hours for full sessions (in line with setting session times and the Local Authority)
- Parents must satisfactorily complete all appropriate forms and paperwork precisely and in a timely manner (by the required timescales from the Local Authority allowing for administration in the setting).
- Parents must provide evidence of their child's age with their original birth certificate or an official copy (not photocopy)
